March Programs at Maydale

Happy March! There are two programs being offered by Montgomery Parks at Maydale Conservation Park in March as part of the spring programming. The following is excerpted from page 131 of the the Montgomery County Recreation and Parks Program Spring Guide. Register using the course numbers at ActiveMontgomery.org.

3/23 All About Invasives!
Invasive species are non-native species that cause economic or environmental harm and can spread rapidly to new areas. Join us as we explore the habitat at Maydale in search of invasive plants and animals. Learn what we can do to protect our environment.
3 & up. Fee: Free
Course #62305 * Saturday, Mar. 23 * 11 am-12 pm

3/31 Maydale Spring Hike
Join a naturalist in search of the signs and sounds of spring. During our hike through the forest, fields, and a visit to the ponds, we'll keep our eyes open for birds, insects, wildflowers, and (hopefully) a frog or two. Rain cancels program.
